Portraits

a picture of a women behind some clean wine glasses

Sometimes it is an action that portrays somebody better than a face. We don’t see her face until we see her work. She owns the place, she cleans the glasses, she takes care of customers, and probably does her own accounting and marketing work, The bar is clean, the drinks are good and the atmosphere is welcoming and clean. Her portrait is not a contrived smile in a pose, it is everywhere that her hard work touches and makes the place a place to go.

She invites artists to show their work at the bar and I am lucky to have been invited. I chose the image of owner Natalie at Grigio Wine and Cocktail Bar to headline my collection of paintings and photographs and display there, a friendly neighborhood bar in Wooster. Please visit, take a look at my work, maybe purchase a piece, and enjoy a drink at the bar.
